Coming into Winter we had lots of rain which is great for the garden but not so great for Saturday playing fields, walking the dog, school pick ups when it’s pouring out etc. One item I’ve been on the hunt for lately is a stylish pair of gumboots (Wellies).
The obvious choice is of course Hunters but unfortunately for me I must have a high arch in my foot or something because Hunters, after having them on for even a little while , they rub on the top of my foot and it hurts. Even when I went up a full size. So I searched online, read a few reviews etc and found a lovely French brand called Aigle. Only one place in Australia stocks them (here) though and they had this pair only in my size (I’m a Euro 37 ½ but I went up to 38). They are in Melbourne so I had to take a gamble as they posted to me but luckily I love them. They seem a little wider/roomier than the Hunters which suits me perfectly. Here I am wearing them in navy, which is like my black as I rarely wear black. It’s a beautiful French Navy too – nice and dark. They cost me $119 but I feel it’s worth it as with something like this I think it’s actually good to invest because they are unlikely to date. Rainwear – if there is such a thing lol – is fairly classic and doesn’t seem to date. My Lululemon raincoat is going strong in it’s third year now. Good quality will last. I’ve also listed a couple of other brands below Le Chameau and Pipduck which also have some nice styles in their ranges.
Until next time
